Regional Internet organizations met in Montevideo, in the renewed Casa de Internet de Latinoamérica y el Caribe

Regional Internet organizations at CILAC

 

On Tuesday, February 19 and Wednesday, February 20, the organizations that are part of the Casa de Internet de Latinoamérica y el Caribe (CILAC, by its initials in Spanish) met in Montevideo, with the aim of sharing strategies and common actions for 2019.

CILAC is the home of the main regional Internet entities created to facilitate synergies, support development and offer greater and better services to our community through the involvement of an increasing number of actors.

Over the two days of intense activities, the nine organizations that are part of the Casa de Internet met: ALAI, ASIET, eCOMLAC, ICANN, Internet Society, LACIX, LACNIC, LACTLD y RedClara.

At the meetings, each organization shared its priority focus for the coming months. Additionally, the organizations identified topics and activities of common interest in which they can collaborate in order to continue offering better services to the regional Internet community.
